About me

Welcome to my blog about medical simulation and patient safety.  Trained as an anesthesiologist,  I am currently doing patient safety and healthcare delivery research at Multidisciplinary Epidemiology and Translational Research in Intensive Care (METRIC)  With collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, and engineers, my research interest is using simulation technology to study the healthcare delivery factors to improve patient safety. The three main themes are: 1) Using systems engineering/operation research approach (modeling and simulation)  to study and improve the healthcare delivery system (of systems) performance. 2) study the effectiveness of simulation-based medical education (SBME) 3) Using simulation as a tool to conduct usability testing for human factor research.
